So here's my ranking of the top 12:
1. Siobhan - she was really hot, amazing vocals, and the girl to beat
2. Didi - I never liked her, but now I did. Didi, one great girl. Love her song tonight.
3. Crystal - I want her to ditch the guitar. Now na. I believe that she has the greatest voice, but she has to unleash more of it.
4. Aaron - Among the teens, he was the best, and I think he has the feelings right for the song, which he showed to the audience.
5. Paige - I simply enjoyed her performance. With her sickness, she pulled it off.
6. Katie - She did pretty well. I felt her.
7. Lee - I still can't get over the pitch sometimes. I am getting the liking of people to, practically due to the roughness of his voice.
8. Lacey - Repetitive. I wish she just did something else than sit. I'm always on the edge with her voice.
9. Michael - Too smug of a performance? His voice is okay, but not that good. Didn't like his performance.
10. Casey - He's lost. He smiles a lot. Pa-cute. But it didn't work out.
11. Tim - I like how he changed the song but I have to be honest, it wasn't good.
12. Andrew - It was a mess. Michael did way better with his moving around the stage. Andrew is a clutter of Micheal's smugness and Casey's pa-cute.
This is based on performance. But taking into account the people's sympathy and all that, my prediction:
Bottom 3: Andrew, Michael, Lacey, with Lacey getting the boot.
I hope it's Andrew though. I hope to be wrong with Lacey, coz I love this girl.

So this is how it feels like to be a bum
Fifteen days after my final oral exam, I find myself doing nothing but stare into the mess of papers and books in front of me. My four years of undergraduate study is finally over, and I can throw away the clutter of readings and notes. Not all of them though.
I'm not doing much. I have caught up with the American Idol shows I've missed, with 7 Grey's Anatomy episodes, and with the last 5 episodes of Glee I failed to watch. I have written two of 5 letters which I am asked to write (I still need to buy that token for my benefactor!)
Looking back in my eight years at the Ateneo, I see a lot of changes and transformations that has happened to me. From being the transfer student from Lourdes School of Quezon City, to the graduating Applied Math major in Math Finance student, I can safely say, that I have grown a lot in those eight years. Interestingly, my graduation from High School and my graduation from the University fell on the same day. March 26, 2006 was my High School graduation. March 26, 2010 will be my College graduation.
I have decided to push through with my Master's program, about ten days ago.. I realized that going for the fifth year will really be helpful in the career path I will be undertaking. An additional year, and I'll have another degree. Taking an extra year will somehow level my education with that of the rest of world. I have heard many professors saying that the world looks at the Philippines as lacking a year or two in education, and sometimes, even when one has finished a master's degree in the Philippines, the student will be asked to take another master's degree, when pursuing a higher degree.
So if this is the case, why take the AMF fifth year still? I feel that it will be advantageous to take the fifth year, whether it is for work, or for futher studies. In working, having a master's degree gives one an advantage over applicants without the degree. In wanting to study further, most likely pursuing a higher degree abroad, having the fifth year somehow levels our education with that of the rest of the world.
God bless all graduates of batch 2010, and I hope that to all of us who are pursuiing this fifth year, that we will be able to make the most of our extra year.

Avatar and Christmas
After Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Watchmen, and Up, next comes Avatar. For the year 2009, I have only watched four new movies in the cinemas. Other than the aforementioned four movies, I had the chance to watch Bride Wars, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Slumdog Millionaire, 2012, In My Life and And I Love You So in DVD's or in the airplane.
About Avatar: It was awesome! There was a clear story, although it didn't have a smooth start. It seemed as if the movie started in the middle. Other than that, I would say that the movie is worth it. It is a klong movie, more than 2 and a half hours, but heck it's worth watching. Graphics = perfect.
About Christmas: I am not feeling it yet. I know it's near. Foodfest is just everywhere. But the Christmas spirit isn't sinking into me. I don't know why. Maybe it's overpowered by the fact that when classes resume, I only have 8 weeks left of school before it's all over for me. I hope I will do well in those remaining weeks, and hence I am hoping to finish all my assignments soon.

My First Day Out of Teenhood
So what happened to me today?
Basically, I woke-up early to hear Mass at 6:30-7 AM. My mom and sister and I ate at this restaurant for breakfast. After which, they dropped me off at DEECO for my morning training. To treat my co-teachers, I asked Ate Maribel to ask someone to buy ice cream + 4 pints of Selecta Vanilla (which I didn't know was THAT expensive) for 4 students of mine who won in an early challenge.
Since Jared wasn't around, and I don't really know why (maybe an exam, or what?), I was running across the hall to the other class for the first half of the session (9-1030). Good thing Ate Tin merged her class with Joanna's since both are Grade 5 classes and took over Jared's place.
We then had our usual lunch with ice cream. I think it's bad for Ate Aiza to eat too much ice cream, as you'll see later why.
We were lucky, since in less than 5 minutes, we were able to ride the taxi to Makati. During lunch, there was a slight teasing of Ate Aiza to Kuya Kendwin. Even during our taxi ride, Ate Aiza was conceptualizing her "plan", even in a joking way. Up until we reached Makati, and executed her "plan", which didn't work with Kuya Kendwin, as he was NR about it, Ate Aiza seemed High, with all the sweets she ate.
My Makati handout was easier than the previous weeks. So yey!
Papa and Mom were with their friends in a different place in Makati, and my sisters were in their room, so I was left in our room, to watch PBB. Shocker: Princess, Jason, Carol were nominated. Not a shocker: Jimson was nominated. I'm hoping for a Jimson eviction this Saturday! Seriously!
My day went well. I was happy and elated. Thanks to those who were with me the day before, and the day after. I had fun!

Roy Moore: 2.5 months in the Philippines was short
So I made a previous entry on Roy's stay here in Manila. Here's the compilation of the descriptions I included in the Facebook albums:

Roy Moore went to Ateneo today!
Monse first met with him at the cafeteria for lunch. After our Ph104 class, Jess and I went to the cafeteria met him. Roy was able to meet some of my coursemates and friends.
At around 2:30, we left the cafteria for AMS room, where Monse's bags are. Reg joined us after as we went to BlueSkies outside to play Rockband, for 2 hours. It was my first time doing that so I had a lot of fun!
We were heading back to Ateneo at around 5, and found ourselves too late for the talk. I'll attend the last two talks to make up for my absence today.
Since papa was already in Ateneo, we decided to ride the way to TriNoma. I dropped off Reg, Monse and Roy there, where they had dinner.

Today, Monse and I met our British friend, Roy Moore. Roy's here for a charity. He's working for "The Mango Tree" which is like an orphanage in ways. This is his second time in the Philippines.
Original Plan: Ride the car until Montalban, go around Mango Tree, play pingpong or watch movie with the kids, or go to a mall.
What happened: After a series of conversations with Monse and Roy, it was decided to just meet in TriNoma at 11.
I arrived there quite early, and decided to stay in McDonald's to wait for them. While trying to study Th131 (yes, I am a nerd), a series of events happened:
1. A kid got lost/left behind and screamed so loud near the concierge
2. Siblings (aged 8 or below) shouted and fought behind me because of the toilet
3. A man went inside to ask a random person what time it is, with an angry aura.
These are things which we don't normally notice or take note of, but it just so happened that they grabbed my attention. Haha.
I decided to go up to the 2nd floor, to Starbucks specifically, where Roy met me. A few minutes later (and by that I mean 30 minutes. Haha!), Monse and her friend Meka arrived.
We had lunch at the foodcourt, and went to Red Mango for yogurt dessert.
Monse and Meka had to leave soon, so plans for Mango Tree were cancelled. Maybe next time.

Today, I met-up with my British friend Roy. Monse and Jess were also with us today. Today's Roy's last night here in the Philippines. He will be flying tomorrow to Singapore, staying there for a week or so before flying back to UK.
I was in TriNoma at 4 PM with my father. He stayed in Seattle's Best until I was done, as he was finish some drawings. I didn't expect to actually be out for long too, and didn't know what's planned for us.
I went to Food Choices and met Roy there. Roy treated me for some ice cream. Thanks man!
Jess soon arrived. After some time, we went to Cabalen to meet Monse and her family (- kuya and regine). Instead of eating there, we ended up eating at Gerry's Grill. Vegetarian Roy. Thank you to the Onglao family for the wonderful dinner!
At 7:15, I left Roy, Monse and Jess at Gerry's Grill as I had to meet papa. Before going home, we went to Tokyo Tokyo for papa to have dinner.
Roy, we'll see you in less than a year. Take care and be good. Haha.

Long time!
It's been a long time since I've made a blog entry.
Roy Moore
Anyway, what has happened in the last month or so? I have had the chance to meet-up with Roy for a couple of times, along with Monse, sometimes with Jess and with Gwen. We always happened to meet-up in TriNoma. So I'm quite familiar with TriNoma by now.
He stayed in the Philippines for almost 3 months. Sadly, we never had the chance to go to Mango, the charity where he stayed in the last 3 months. He flew yesterday to Singapore before going home to UK.
Up
I had the chance to finally watch Up! It was last Wednesday, September 9, with Jman, Aaron and Hector. Like what Yushi said, I totally liked/loved the film. It was heart-warming and at the same time, quite hilarious. I have to say that Up isn't one of the best movies I've watched, but it sure is memorable.
Perhaps I better write more frequently from now on. I'll post some short blog entries about the last one and half months soon.

It's a Roy Day!

After MTAP at DEECO, I spent a day with Roy Moore, our British friend whom we met at NUS.
I met first with Gwen and Jess as we were there before 1. We settled at the Food Choices and waited for Roy to arrive at 1:30. I bought a Pesto Pasta at one of the stalls while Roy initially bought 4 big slices of Cheese Pizza. Gwen commented and told us that we might get a discount if we buy the whole pizza, so I went to the manager and asked if it's possible to do that. And he agreed.
After eating, we had a short chat on poverty and politics. We then went to Timezone and played games for an hour or so while waiting for Monse. We were initially tried watching a movie but the queue was so long.
We went back to Food Choices (the foodcourt). Soon, Monse and EC arrived. At 6, Jess and EC left as Jess had to go Shang while EC had to meet a friend. Soon after, Gwen left as her driver's already there.
Monse, Roy and I went to DQ and bought DQ sandwiches and Strawberry Banana Blizzard. A few minutes later, Roy's friend, Craig arrived, just in time when I had to leave.
The day was basically a TriNoma Day. We had fun!

It took us quite a long time to meet Roy. After 32 days of him in the Philippines, this was the first time we met him. I hope we can make it up to him somehow.
